Breast Ptosis

Breast ptosis corrects sagging breasts.

Ptosis can exist immediately or occur most often after pregnancy, breastfeeding or after significant weight loss.

Ptosis can be isolated or associated with breast hypertrophy whose weight accentuates breast sagging or associated with breast hypoplasia (lack of breasts) which will also be corrected during the same surgical procedure.

Breast ptosis is a pure aesthetic gesture when isolated.

The procedure is carried out under general anesthesia and lasts approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.

It requires between one night of hospitalization. It involves moving the nipple and areola upwards, removing excess skin, and reshaping the gland. The length of the scars depends on the hypertrophy and the degree of ptosis (single vertical scar or inverted T scar).

Upper Areolarplasty

This technique is very innovative and rarely proposed by surgeons. It is indicated in cases of mild or moderate ptosis and especially if the patient does not want significant scars (T-shaped or vertical).
