This is a question I get very often:Can sun, heat, the sea, or sand affect my hyaluronic acid injections?
âš The reassuring answer: NO.Heat does not alter hyaluronic acid.Once injected, it integrates into the tissues and does not âmeltâ in the sun â whether dry or humid heat.
But that doesnât mean there are no precautions to take. đ
â ïž What can actually cause issues:đž Direct sun exposure within 48 hours after injectionsđž Exposing a bruise: this can lead to permanent pigmentationđž Intense UV exposure without proper SPFđž Heat-based treatments (sauna, hammam) too soon after injections
đĄ My advice for a safe, beautiful summer:âą Wait at least 48 hours before sun, pool, or beach exposureâą Never expose a bruise or red area to the sunâą Always wear high SPF sunscreen (SPF 50+), even in the shadeâą Stay well hydrated â your skin and your injections will thank you
đŹ In short: your fillers wonât melt in the sunâŠBut how you treat your skin after injections can make all the difference between flawless results and unwanted surprises.
