The consequences of a blepharoplasty are generally mild. The patient can leave the clinic the same day of the procedure. The pain is almost non-existent or very mild and can be quickly relieved with paracetamol. To reduce swelling, it is advisable to sleep with your head slightly elevated for the first two nights following the operation and to apply cold compresses regularly.
As for the period of social exclusion, it usually lasts a week, the time necessary for the eyes to deflate and the stitches to be removed. Of course, this duration may vary depending on the postoperative reactions specific to each patient.
